Whether sworn before a god's altar and the witness of a priest, in a sacred glade before nature spirits and fey beings, or in a moment of desperation and grief with the dead as the only witness, a paladin's oath is a powerful bond.

Class Features
Hit Points
- Hit Dice: 1d10 per paladin level
- Hit Points at 1st Level: 10 + your Constitution modifier
- Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d10 (or 6) + your Constitution modifier per paladin level after 1st

Equipment
You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:
- (a) a martial weapon and a shield or (b) two martial weapons
- (a) five javelins or (b) any simple melee weapon
- (a) a priest's pack or (b) an explorer's pack
- Chain mail and a holy symbol
Divine Sense
As an action, you can open your awareness to detect strong evil or good. Until the end of your next turn:
- You know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet not behind total cover.
- You know the type but not identity.
- You also sense consecrated or desecrated places.
- Uses per long rest: 1 + Charisma modifier.
Lay on Hands
You have a pool of healing equal to 5 × your paladin level.
As an action, you can:
- Heal a creature HP from the pool.
- Spend 5 HP to cure a disease or neutralize poison.
- No effect on undead or constructs.
Fighting Style (2nd level)
Choose one option:
Blessed Warrior, Blind Fighting, Defense, Dueling, Great Weapon Fighting, Interception, Protection, Close Quarters Shooter (UA), Mariner (UA), Thrown Weapon Fighting (UA), Tunnel Fighter (UA), Unarmed Fighting (UA).
Spellcasting
- Spellcasting Ability: Charisma
- Spell save DC: 8 + PB + CHA mod
- Spell attack modifier: PB + CHA mod
- Spellcasting Focus: Holy symbol
You prepare paladin spells equal to CHA mod + half paladin level (min 1).
You regain all slots on a long rest.
Divine Smite (2nd level)
When you hit with a melee weapon attack, expend a spell slot to deal radiant damage:
- 1st level slot: 2d8, +1d8 each level above 1st (max 5d8).
- +1d8 vs. fiends/undead (max 6d8).
Divine Health (3rd level)
You are immune to disease.
Sacred Oath (3rd level)
Choose an oath:

Oath grants features at 3rd, 7th, 15th, 20th level.
Channel Divinity
Gain Channel Divinity options based on oath.
Recharge: Short or long rest.
Save DC = Paladin spell save DC.
Harness Divine Power (Opt) (3rd level)
Expending Channel Divinity may restore a spell slot (max half PB). Uses per long rest scale with level.
Ability Score Improvement
At 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 19th level.
Martial Versatility (Opt)
Swap fighting style when gaining an ASI.
Extra Attack (5th level)
You can attack twice when taking the Attack action.
Aura of Protection (6th level)
You and allies within 10 ft add your CHA mod to saving throws (min +1). Range increases to 30 ft at 18th level.
Aura of Courage (10th level)
You and allies within 10 ft cannot be frightened while conscious. Range increases to 30 ft at 18th level.
Improved Divine Smite (11th level)
Your melee weapon attacks deal +1d8 radiant damage.
Cleansing Touch (14th level)
As an action, end one spell on yourself or a willing creature you touch. Uses per long rest = CHA mod (min 1).
